The Christian Hands on Widows and Children in Need (CHOWCHIN) is a faith based Christian organisation with its headquarters in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa. The Founder and General Overseer of the organisation, Mrs. Jestina Farma, is a Sierra Leonean/British citizen presently residing in Sierra Leone and serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organisation.

The CHOWCHIN project started far back support from the Founder Mrs. Jestina Farma and her husband Mr. Ken Farma to indigenous church organisations to help orphans and destitute children, street and unaccompanied children, widows and street beggars. These supports have been in the form of schools and feeding support to vulnerable children, charitable supports to widows and street beggars, Christian counselling and fellowship, etc. Mrs. Farma is a philanthropist that has passion for vulnerable children and widows and as a result, her vision is bond out of a biblical principle and referenced from James 1:27 which says “pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world”. This is the strong foundation on which Mrs. Farma built her vision and is greatly challenged that under any circumstances, God will always be by her side to accomplish her desired goals and aspirations.

In Sierra Leone, the Headquarters of CHOWCHIN is situated in Freetown – Western Sierra Leone with branches in the Bo District (Southern Region) and Kenema District (Eastern Region).
